Wait! Don’t hate me yet! I can explain. At the risk of upsetting the black community, what if I told you I don’t think Martin Luther King had an actual dream, but the dream had him. Think about what I just said for a minute. You see I don’t believe people choose dreams but dreams choose them. So think about this question. Do you have the courage to grab the dream that picked you, grips you and befits you or will you let it get away and slip through? Dr. King grabbed ahold of the dream that grabbed him and we all know the rest of the story.
Look at it this way. Most people believe that it is extremely dangerous to fly in an airplane. Believe it or not, it is more dangerous for a plane to stay on the ground that to be in the air. Doesn’t make sense but on the ground, a plane starts to rust, malfunction, and wear much faster than it is was in the air. When you think about it’s simple, planes were built to live in the skies and a person was built to live out every dream they have inside them.
Can you imagine living a life on the ground without ever taking off? What is it that is holding you back in life? It just might be time to just jump and grow your wings on the way down. Reach out and grab hold of that dream that is trying to grab ahold of you. Your life will never be the same if you do!
